The exhibit entitled Naturale Marea is the second exhibition of Massimiliano Alioto's work on the natural landscape.
After the first cycle of paintings on the theme of mountains, now the eye of the artist looks down from the summits of the mountains into the depths of the stormy sea, resulting in the third and last phase of his research, the summation of all the landscapes he has explored until now, exposing them to the most diverse climatic effects.
Stormy skies, angry seas, and dense, vapor-laden clouds are transposed onto the canvas with the tools of his art which play with transparencies and nuances, delicate and aggressive tones, slender lines or thick brush-strokes, and acidic and primary colors.
