Konrad Oberhuber (1935 - 2007) was an art historian. He gained a degree and a Ph. D from Vienna university.
From 1961 to 1971 he was a curator at the Graphische Sammlung Albertina in Vienna.
At the same time, and until 1987, he was a visiting professor and fellow of leading research institutes and universities worldwide: Smith College, Northampton, Mass. (1964-65, 1969), Harvard Center for Renaissance Studies, Villa Tatti, Florence (1965-66), University of Vienna (1970-71), National Gallery, Washington (1971-75), Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. (1974), Institute for Advanced Studies, Princeton (1974-75), Bibliotheca Hertziana, Rome (1983-84). A former curator of drawings and professor of fine arts at the Fogg Art Museum and Harvard University from 1975 to 1987, he was the director of the Albertina in Vienna thereafter until 2000.
He was a leading scholar of Renaissance art and the work of Raphael in particular.
