Dino Buzzati

Dino Buzzati (Belluno 1906 - Milan 1972) writer, painter and journalist. For over forty years he wrote for the "Corriere della Sera", starting in 1928, when he was just 22 years old. His most famous book, Il deserto dei Tartari, was inspired by his everyday life in the newsroom. He also wrote many children's books, such as Il segreto del Bosco Vecchio (1935) and the fairy-tale La famosa invasione degli orsi in Sicilia (1945), initially written and illustrated for the "Corriere dei Piccoli" and later adapted as a puppet show by the Colla marionette company. His books have been translated and published all over the world.
