Akihisa Masuda

Member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society, the Photographic Society of Japan and Japan Travel Writers. An architectural photographer for more than 40 years.

In addition to numerous publications on modern Japanese architecture, he has also devoted himself to English and Asian architecture.

Particular notable are his photographic books on the architecture of the late nineteenth/early twentieth century (1971; 1979; 1984; 2000; 2003; 2004), which transformed the city of Tokyo by the introduction of Western styles, and his major photographic studies of Asian architecture (1996; 2013-14).
