Sissi creates remarkably captivating works whose shapes inspired by the organic world invade the space, conjuring up a dreamlike, highly sensual universe linked to her own experiences. In her solo exhibition at the MACRO, Sissi presents a performance-installation with her body as the protagonist in a fantastic landscape that she made by hand, interweaving wicker, reeds and thin strips of blotting paper tinged with colourful inks. Sensual enveloping forms characterize this young Bolognese artist’s imaginative approach.
