The catalogue of the exhibition presents an original approach to the pictorial work of one of the greatest architects of the twentieth century, with works from the Le Corbusier Foundation in Paris and major private international collections.
The volume contains works ranging from the 1920s down to Le Corbusier’s last years, covering the whole of his long creative development, through authentic masterpieces such as Nature Morte Puriste Verticale of 1922 or Femme dans l’embrassure d’une porte of 1933, which portrays his wife Yvonne during a vacation at Vezelay, or again Mains, buste et coquillage of 1954, one of his celebrated collages, to which Le Corbusier devoted much of his figurative work.
