The whole course of Renato Guttuso's career seen through a selection of masterpieces on exhibit in Turin.
One of the most interesting and best-loved twentieth-century artists opens the 2005 season at Palazzo Bricherasio. The exhibition consists of around eighty paintings, chosen in such a way as to represent the whole course of his artistic career from his beginnings to the large female groups. The different periods of Guttuso’s painting are documented through a careful selection of works from both Italian and foreign museums as well as from his private collection. The exhibition also includes two interesting sections that are not devoted to his painting. One features his drawing and the other contains sketches and figures for musicals and other plays, complete with posters and photos of the production.
