Paintings, drawings, tapestries, wooden toys and other objects reveal the artistic personality of one of the most eclectic 20th-century masters. An exhibition held in Turin.
[Depero, Futurist]. In Turin, a retrospective on Fortunato Depero (1892-1960) and his applied arts, from the colorful tapestries, cushions and vests to the furnishings and advertising. A great forerunner of modern times, Depero was an artist with infinite interests whose work, though starting with Futurist tenets, crosses all the art avant-gardes of national and international culture straddling the two world wars. The loans of important works obtained for this exhibition, including an outstanding nucleus of canvases from the Mart of Rovereto, bring some unfamiliar elements to the rooms of Palazzo Bricherasio, along with other forgotten pieces.
