A monograph that outlines, through a range of photographs and drawings, the design path of a versatile architect, independent but also recognized as an interpreter of the "Viennese tradition".
[Boris Podrecca. Works and projects] Boris Podrecca (Belgrade, 1940) has lived in Trieste and studied in Vienna. From the mixture of the Viennese influence and that of Italy – in particular of the “maestro” Carlo Scarpa – Podrecca has developed an independent, versatile language. His work, as Walter Zschokke explains in the introductory essay, stands out for its capacity to adapt to a wide range of different opportunities. Whether the task is to design an exhibition, to transform a shop, to renew a square in a historical center, or to create a single-family house, Podrecca maintains the same high level of quality, which the text and the graphic and photographic documentation illustrate with precision.
