The exhibition “Pisanello. Il tumulto del mondo”, curated by Stefano L'Occaso and planned to mark the 50th anniversary of the exhibition mounted by Giovanni Paccagnini, will occupy two large adjoining and consecutive rooms on the piano nobile of the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua: the Sala del Pisanello (for which the layout will be permanently redesigned, with a new lighting system and an elevated platform that will ensure a closer view of the decorative cycle) and the adjacent Sala dei Papi, in addition to the rooms on the ground floor.
The exhibition will present an overview of late-Gothic culture in Mantua, with an excellent selection of paintings, sculptures and miniatures. They will total 30 works including international loans.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue published by Electa.
