An acknowledged scholar of Palladio, since 1983, he has been a member of the scientific committee of the CISA (Andrea Palladio Study Center). Formerly Director of the Musei Civici in Venice, he has supervised the restoration of various buildings by Palladio, including Palazzo Chiericati and the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
