An exhibition displaying the late works of a great American artist. For the first time in Italy an opportunity to discover the art of Willem De Kooning.

The Carlo Bilotti Museum, opened last May in Rome, houses 16 paintings made by De Kooning from 1981 to 1988. These canvases were conceived and painted by the great American artist of Dutch origin in his Long Island studio in a state of happy solitude. His admiration for Matisse is clearly shown by the colours and the essentiality of the works: the use of colours is explosive, paintings are dazzling. Surely this exhibition casts new light on the last period of the master.
