Decio Giulio Riccardo Carugati, critic and historian of design, writer and journalist, contributes to a number of cultural, art, design and boating magazines. With Mondadori Electa he has published numerous titles dedicated to the world of industrial design. He has served on the jury for numerous design awards and is vice-president of the Targa Bonetto Jury; he lectures at the Polytechnic of Genoa, Faculty of Industrial Design, and at the Milan Polytechnic. Since April 2010 he has been one of the International Committee of Experts for the PhD course in Design for nautical and sustainable products established by the University of Genoa. He is deputy editor of "F Stone Magazine" devoted to the culture of marble and stone and since 2010 he has been on the jury of the Carlo Marincovich prize for journalism and literature.
