The catalogue of the exhibition that retraces the creative development of the last twenty years of research by one of the most important interpreters of contemporary international art, with the exhibition of eleven monumental sculptures, twenty plaster sculptures and models, chosen from the cycles Early Forms and Rational Beings, and some very fine drawings and sketches. The exhibition is structured chronologically, presenting stylistic and developmental aspects of Cragg’s work which document the phases of the different genres of his oeuvre and enable visitors to understand the complexity of his creative thinking, which draws widely on the relationship between the organic forms and the materials of sculpture. The catalogue also explores theoretical and factual aspects of Cragg’s work: besides the text by Ludovico Pratesi and a long interview with the artist by John Wood (Terms and Conditions), it will contain previously unpublished texts by Tony Cragg (Cutting Things Up; Wirbersaule; The Articulated Column Continued)
