The volume surveys ten wineries recently built by ten different architectural firms, chosen according to critical, compositional and geographical criteria.

Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal are the nations featured in these pages. They present a global phenomenon that has been growing for decades now: that of wineries designed by outstanding architects.
The high quality of the images selected reveals that architecture is playing an increasingly strategic narrative and symbolic role. The book clearly brings out the growing concern for the relationship that wineries establish with the land, rarely asserting their presence, but entering into a relationship with their surroundings and helping strengthen the identity of places and the uniqueness of the wine produced in them, inextricably bound up with the terroir from which it comes.

An architecture capable of interpreting the processes of wine, the agricultural landscape, the cultural layering of places, and the new needs of representation and hospitality.
The volume accompanies the exhibition of the same name running from 4 October to 16 November 2025 at Villa dei Cedri, in Valdobbiadene, headquarters of the Association for the Heritage of the UNESCO Hills of Prosecco di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso.
