This activity has led to a series of books presenting the results of these efforts aimed at protecting and publicizing the region’s unique heritage. This book is on the cataloguing and systematic study of the ceramics dating from the Middle Ages to the present conserved at the Wine Museum of Torgiano, a unique institution on the history of vineyards, grapes and wine.
Medieval pottery (XII-XIV centuries), late Gothic and Rococo ceramics (XV-XVII), ceramic works by craftsmen of the XIX and XX centuries. An introductory essay explains the formation of the collections, while illustrations with individual profiles describe the various pieces, subdivided by type, in keeping with a scientific archaeological approach.
The book also includes a complete bibliography and index.
