Two emerging young architects, students of Rafael Moneo, destined to become figures of reference on the international architecture scene

This book presents the works of the young Madrid-based architects Luis Moreno Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón, who stand out as the most original talents of the latest generation of Spanish architects on their way to replacing the “masters” who lived through the passage from the dictatorship of Franco to democracy. With an introductory essay by Patricia Molins, the volume is divided into six theme sections with theoretical texts by architects and correspondents from the other fields of study and research pertinent to the work of Mansilla+Tuñón, from 1988 to the present. Major projects by the duo include: the Museum of Zamora (1992-1996), the Museum of Fine Art of Castellón (1996-2000), the auditorium and MUSAC of León (1994-2002; 2001-2004), the Barrié de la Maza Foundation in Vigo (2002-2005)
