The catalogue of the exhibition which explored the theme of beauty: a route through aesthetic narcissism, sensuousness, the fleetingness of appearances and transience, using different artistic languages on different symbolic planes
The exhibition program at the ARCOS (Museo D’Arte Contemporanea Sannio), under the scholarly direction of Danilo Eccher, continued in the course of 2007 with a new group exhibition with a marked cultural complexity. This volume is the catalogue of the exhibition Les Fleurs du Mal, which explored the theme of beauty. It took the form of a route through aesthetic narcissism, sensuousness, the fleetingness of appearances and transience, using different artistic languages on different symbolic planes, such as photography, painting, video and embroidery. The artists represented were: Vanessa Beecroft, James Brown, Elisabetta Benassi, Matt Collishaw, Aaron Demetz, Sylvie Fleury, Gilbert &Gorge, Goldiechiari, Marcello Jori, Giuseppe Maraniello, Yasumasa Moritura, Alfredo Pirri, Marc Quinn, Guido Van Der Werve and Francesco Vezzoli
