At the Macro, starting on 22 May, Kendell Geers presents “The Forest of Suicides”, a project specially created for this show and illustrated in the bilingual exhibition catalogue.
Kendell Geers, born in Johannesburg in 1960, has made his mark on the international scene as an artist, curator and critic. His works, which include actions, installations, photographs and videos, approach the question of his identity as a white African, and the complicated relationships of force in society and politics. Geers has participated at “Documenta 11” in Kassel, the Berlin Biennial in 2001, “Casino 2001” at S.M.A.K. in Ghent, Belgium.
