The volume is published on the occasion of the 24th International Exhibition of Triennale Milano (13 May – 9 November 2025).
After addressing the themes of sustainability with Broken Nature (22nd Exhibition, 2019) and the mysteries of the universe with Unknown Unknowns (23rd Exhibition, 2022), the 24th exhibition closes this trilogy by focusing on the human dimension and addressing the urgent political issue of the growing inequalities that characterize contemporary life in various fields ranging from the economic to the ethnic, from geographical origins to gender.
The volume, with graphic design by Pentagram, follows the vocation for documentation of the Triennale’s historical catalogues and is conceived as a tool for exploring and understanding the themes addressed by the exhibition. In an era in which the risk of species extinction, wars, and growing geopolitical imbalances are worrying for our future, the 24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition is a collective project that addresses the global challenges arising from differences across various dimensions of human existence. Inequalities proposes to look again at the dimension of human relationships and the growing inequalities that characterize them.
