On the occasion of the three major exhibitions dedicated to Franco Albini, Carlo Mollino and Ignazio Gardella, Electa proposes another series of three books about these great architects. Each of them represents an expression of the most excellent Italian architectonic culture: single buildings, interiors, units, blocks are treated as a tour of an ideal open air museum. In the first issue, Franco Albini’s places become places of visible architectures: Milan and the Padana Plain, Genoa and the Riviera di Levante, the Conca of Breuil and the centre of Rome are stages along a series of itineraries that arrange thirty-six works of the Milanese architect, from the first quarters of public housing to refined exhibition mountings.
