An itinerant exhibition located in two expositive places: MAR (Museo d'Arte della Città di Ravenna) and PAN (Palazzo delle Arti di Napoli). A rich iconographic appendix, critical essays by Anna Maria Chiara Donini, Claudia Gian Ferrari, Maria Mimita Lamberti, Michela Scolaro, Claudio Spadoni and a testimony by Francesco Casorati.

A homage to the great artist Felice Casorati through a selection of one hundred works, from the Symbolism of the beginning and the studies of Klimt’s paintings, to the rigorous compositions in a Fifteenth century style inspired by Piero della Francesca, from magic realism to the disquieting still life paintings of the Fifties. The artworks painted from the beginning of last century up to the Sixties – in particular his most significant paintings, such as La preghiera, Ritratto di Renato Gualino, Ragazze dormienti – show his clean and severe trait and his absolute chromatic equilibrium. Together with the elegant feminine portraits, at times enigmatic like that of Silvana Cenni, the exhibition features his still life paintings: bowls, fruit, eggs, simple everyday items, objectification of human feelings.
