In the wake of previous experiences (such as Travestimenti in Rome in 2004), this project is born out of the necessity of making theatre costumes - a cultural good which in Italy has reached incredible quality levels - accessible to everybody.

In an extremely fascinating setting, Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano, the exhibition will display a selection of theatre costumes created by the Sartoria Teatrale Farani in nearly 50 years of activity and another series of original dresses belonging to the collection which nowadays includes more than 700 pieces from the half of the Eighteenth century up to the Seventies. The exhibition features: Jane Fonda’s dress in Barbarella by Vadim, Marcello Mastroianni’s tailcoat, in Intervista by Fellini, some of the dresses worn by Richard Burton, Donald Sutherland, Silvana Mangano, Sofia Loren, Roberto Benigni, Massimo Troisi and Totò. Those costumes are unforgettable pieces that have contributed to the success of the movies of Pasolini, Zeffirelli, Fellini and whose excellent quality has been internationally recognized with the awarding of several Oscar.
