An ironic, playful and estranging world in which the visitor loses the sense of reality. An internationally renowned artist, whose success in Italy was attested by a one-person exhibition housed in Fondazione Prada in Milan

Supercontemporanea dedicates a book to this original artist. A clear guide is particularly indicated to decipher the language and understand the meaning of his complex works. Born in Belgium in 1961, but living and working in Sweden, Höller imposed himself in the art world during the Nineties. He has become famous for his strange, sometimes gigantic installations, that provoke in the visitors amused and confused reactions. Being a biologist, Höller is often inspired by natural elements and uses animals and plants as surrogates of human beings, to create descriptive analogies of human behaviour
