A fine selection of documents and evidence on the work of a personality who made architectural history.
Between late 1999, the year devoted to celebration of the glories of the baroque, and June 2000 a spectacular exhibition on the work of Francesco Borromini was held first in Rome and later in Vienna.
From the training in Lombardy to the encounter with the artistic sphere in Rome, the exhibition retraced the evolution of the style of Borromini, while documenting the surprising graphic production of the master with a new language, free of stereotypes, daring in its invention, coherent in its formal harmony.
Electa accompanied this event with the publication of a book in German containing drawings, views and maps, paintings and prints, medal, arts and crafts objects: a fine selection of documents and evidence on the work of a personality who made architectural history.
