Enrico Colle

Professor of Applied Arts at the Specialization School of the University of Bologna, Enrico Colle is one of Italy's leading experts on the applied arts. He has studied and catalogued the furniture and artworks of Palazzo Pitti in Florence and the residences of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany for the Superintendency for Cultural Heritage of Florence and is currently studying the furnishings and interior decor of the former residences of the Italian Royal Family. As Honorary Inspector for the Florence Superintendency, he sits on the committee conducting a census of furniture that formerly belonged to various Italian royal palaces. On behalf of the Civic Applied Arts Collections of Milan City Council, he has been supervising the systematic cataloguing of the furniture of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. He is in charge of Electa's Great Repertoire series on the applied arts.
