Dario Barbera was born in 1984 in Taormina. A historian of ancient art, he specialised at the Scuola Normale in Pisa and held a fellowship at the Italian Institute for Historical Studies. In 2018 he edited a volume of the correspondence of Federico De Roberto (La Sicilia di De Roberto. Lettere inedite a Corrado Ricci). He has published numerous essays on history, archaeology and art history in scholarly journals.
