An unusual collection assembled from around the world: chairs, lamps, clocks and
electronic instruments, but also cars, architectural project, fabrics, commonly used pots
and pans, carts and saddles, and including a carriage with real, live horses harnessed
to it for the exhibition.
Set in the first building designed in Europe by Frank O. Gehry, the Vitra Design
Museum is today one of the institutions which contributes most to research into
the design and a knowledge of it worldwide
