Sandro Luporini. Pittore scrittore

€ 39,00

A rich anthology of the most significant texts on the author, a biography with a list of his solo and group exhibitions, an overview of his plays and discography and a complete bibliography make this book akin to a general catalogue of the work of Sandro Luporini, artist, painter and writer.

The catalogue for the exhibition sponsored by ADAC (Associazione Diffusione Arte Cultura) is designed to represent the work of Sandro Luporini, writer, painter, artist who, with discretion and rigour, continuity and intellectual commitment, is an important reference point in contemporary culture, through his paintings and graphics and his work as a co-author on Giorgio Gaber’s play scripts. This was a long partnership, only interrupted in 2003 with the death of the latter. Since 1956, Sandro Luporini (Viareggio 1930) has exhibited in leading Italian and foreign galleries. His name is linked, inter alia, to exhibitions on “Existentialist Realism” and subsequently to the Metacosa group. This visual album, with magnificent large colour plate illustrations of over one hundred works, together with critical essays on the paintings, is complemented by a compendium on the “Lyric Theatre” by Gaber and Luporini. Their most important shows include: Il signor G, Far finta di esser sani, Libertà obbligatoria, Polli di allevamento, Anni affollati, Il Grigio, Il caso di Alessandro e Maria, Il dio bambino. The book outlines the personality of an unusual artist, given the complexity of his pictorial, literary and political-existential experience.
