From the series of publications on the Cultural Assets of the Umbria Region, this volume offers a catalogue of the drawings and engravings - about 6000 works in all - conserved at the Wine Museum of Torgiano.
[Wine Museum of Torgiano / Engravings] The Umbria Region has spent decades on the systematic cataloguing of the cultural assets found in its territory. This activity has led to a series of books presenting the results of these efforts aimed at protecting and publicizing the region’s unique heritage.
This volume in the series offers a catalogue of the engravings conserved at the Wine Museum of Torgiano, and now exhibited in six recently opened new rooms. Among the approximately 6000 drawings and engravings there are some exceptional masterpieces, such as the Bacchanale of Mantegna, Venus and Cupid and Bacchus raising a cup by Goltzius, and the Drunken Silenus by Carracci.
