An interesting vestige of Italian architecture between the two world wars, and an example of renewal without loss of continuity.

The part of Pisa known as the Calambrone, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea between Leghorn and Tirrenia, has been revitalized after years of neglect, in an interesting project that transforms the existing structures, most of which were “colonies” built during the Fascist era, in pure rationalist style. The book analyzes the various projects, both completed and in progress, as well as the master plan for the entire area.
