The 10th edition of the Triennale Design Museum is dedicated to design specifically for children: Giro Giro Tondo (the name comes from a popular Italian nursery rhyme). Design for Children tells the story of Italian design through a new perspective, that of children, with a historical and recreational component.
When the world of design meets that of children wonderful things are created: not only toys but also furniture, artwork, illustrations, architecture and urban installations, books, animation, drawings, stationary. The catalogue, an amazing visual atlas of this exhibition, features essays from experts in each field, from Maurizio Nichetti to Luca Fois, from Fulvio Irace to Paola Maino and Reggio Children, with a special focus on famous education experts such as Bruno Munari and Riccardo Dalisi. A complete collection of the history of Italian design for children which will captivate not only designers and architects, but also the general public, collectors and even children themselves.
