A book of mouth-watering recipes combining the dietary demands of keep-fit enthusiasts with good food.
Davide Oldani, born in Milan in 1969, trained and worked with some of the world’s top chefs: Gualtiero Marchesi, Albert Roux, Alain Ducasse and Pierre Hermé to name just a few. In 2003 he opened his own trattoria in Cornaredo; D’O immediately received unanimous approval from critics and public alike. The key to his success? His profound respect for serving food in season, carefully selecting his raw materials and charging reasonable prices. In fact, the cuisine of this prodigious chef reflects his tendency to describe himself as a “pop chef” and interest as many people as possible in eating good food (a cuisine where tradition and innovation constantly overlap). In this two-language book, Oldani describes 55 recipes classed to reflect the four seasons and particularly suitable for sports-lovers, underscoring the many parallels with physical activity: effort, fatigue, goals and sheer determination.
