Emma Marrone spent her early childhood in Sesto Fiorentino before moving with her family to Arado in Salento, the homeland of her parents Rosario and Maria. There, she attended the Pietro Colonna high school in Galatina but at a young age she became passionate about music. First, she sang with her father’s group then, from 2007 onwards, with Mjur. In 2010, she won the Amici talent show presented by Maria De Filippi. In the same year, she signed a contract with the Universal record company and launched her first solo album, “Oltre”, featuring her famous hit “Calore”. In 2011, with the group Modà, she entered the San Remo Music Festival, where she came second. The following year, she participated in the competition alone with the song “Non è l’inferno”. She returned to San Remo a third time as a presenter in 2015. From then on, she has recorded one success after another and won numerous awards for her music: a Gold CD at the Wind Music Awards in 2013 for her album “Schiena”, a Platinum CD for her album “Amami” and another Gold CD for her album “Adesso” in 2016. In 2015, she returned to the show Amici as Artistic Director and confirmed that she would take part in the following edition with Elisa. Very active on social networks, she has a huge following, especially on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
